A
scroller is an accessory that slips into the colorframe holder of most
spotlights & some
floods. It makes one light seem like many because now you
have a light that can produce a rainbow of color. The
scroller it's self is DMX-512 compatible and is easily controlled
from DMX-512 controllers. Scrollers contain a
gelstring that moves on two rollers. They hold from 2 to 32
frames of color gels. The rollers are moved by small DC motors.
The motor and scroller get a combined
power and data signal through the power supply. The power
supply also acts as a distribution point for the combined
power and data signal via 4 pin XLR cables. Power
supplies are made to power 2, 6, 8, 12, 16 or 24 scrollers
depending on the size of your system. Scrollers
are being manufactured in many sizes to fit almost
any spotlight and cyclights, even 4 light and 8 light banks.
