The SOFTLUX – fluorescent Cool Lighting TV range

SOFTLUX produces 300% to 400% more lumen per Watt than conventional tungsten lamps resulting in less heat emission, less power consumption, more comfort for the subject and a greatly reduced energy (Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning) cost and flicker free. The lamp life of the PL lamps is far higher than that of conventional halogen or HMI lamps.

SOFTLUX fixtures are available in 4 different types:

• SL 110/DMX/LC fitted with 2 fluorescent lamps PL55W

 

 

 

• SL 220/DMX/LC fitted with 4 fluorescent lamps PL55W

 

 

 

• SL 330/DMX/LC fitted with 6 fluorescent lamps PL55W

• SL 440/DMX/LC fitted with 8 fluorescent lamps PL55W

Other optional items that can be supplied with the SOFTLUX fixtures are Pan and Tilt Pole Operation and “Honeycombs” to control the angle of the lighting beam to 20°, 40° or 60° field angle.

The fixtures are foreseen to be equipped with 55 W PL-L lamps which are widely available from major lamp manufacturers. The color temperature can be chosen between 3200 K and 5600 K to adapt to the specific studio environment and use of the SOFTLUX together with other existing halogen or HMI discharge fixtures.
The SOFTLUX units are supplied with 2 m cable and a reflective barndoor that boosts the light output of the unit. This specially designed lamp/reflector unit gives the lighting professional a symmetrical, directional "punchy" light output that allows for a longer throw or wider spread as required.

ADB SOFTLUX will provide our partners with the latest fluorescent technology combining high-frequency silent ballasts, high color rendition bulbs housed in a rigid, lightweight extruded aluminum body to produce a high quality light with significant cost savings.
