No distracting spill light to provide unwanted illumination.

of both young and veteran designers working in theatre,
special events, dance and concerts.
The Award citation makes note of:
"Selecon has taken up the task of re-thinking
the cyc light and the result is their HUI cyc, a favorite
with our judges. “The design of the fixture
is well thought-through and addresses many of our issues
with cyc light strips (such as on-site configuration
of rigid, low-profile ground rows, safety glass screens,
durable construction, configurable connector panels,
and more.),” says one judge.
One of the key features the judges liked about the
HUI cyc was the heat exhaust/control system, which
results in a much longer filter life; another high
point was its aforementioned use as a ground row, simply
by reversing the color cassette and the use of screw
jack feet for adjustment."
Selecon Heat Removal System
Selecon's Cyc, Flood and Groundrow ranges have
a well-deserved reputation for delivering life up to
double that of some other cyc floods.
Further developments of the Selecon heat exhaust management
system has resulted in the Hui and Lui delivering industry-leading
filter life for their class and size.
The Selecon colour frame for the Hui, Lui and Aurora
ranges gently clamps the plastic filter while holding
the frame away from the luminaire body to reduce (+20°)
the transference of the heat from the luminaire into
the frame and plastic filter.
High performance 220-240V 800W studio lamps can be
used in very compact luminaires with acceptable filter
life.
