A narrow beam angle system in a very compact
size Zoomspot luminaire
delivering a ‘cool beam’ of light in a beam range
adjustable between 14°-35°.
The beam is crisp “white” light with little
or no distortion, ideal for pattern projection and precise
beam shaping.
Ideal for most medium to large sized venues, the beam range
was carefully chosen to minimise wasted light from most
longer throw auditorium positions.
At 635mm / 24” long the Pacific 14°-35° Zoomspot
packs a punch way beyond its size, with the added advantage
of using the common B-size pattern / gobo.
Active Heat Management System
The Active Heat Management System of the Pacific
range exemplifies the innovative design of Selecon luminaires
- exploiting the latest technology to deliver new standards
in performance, superior operational features and lower cost
of ownership.
How does it work?
The AHMS removes more of the heat from the
light beam to deliver a cool beam of light on stage,
while managing the heat away from the operational controls
and critical components such as the lamp, wiring and
cabling.
What are the advantages?
• Cool operating controls (lens, focus
knobs, lamp peak/flat adjustment, shutters) even after
hours of continuous use.
• A gate so cool you can use plastic
images printed on transparency film with selected light
sources.
• Maintenance and downtime are slashed as the lamp socket
and cabling are out of the heat exhaust.
• Lower cost of ownership is guaranteed by Selecon's

Selecon central gear drive smoothly adjusts the lamp

reflector optimises light collection while ensuring a low

housing, allowing for difficult shutter cuts and easy pattern

- SMALLEST NARROW ANGLE ZOOMS in the industry,
with the light output optimised in a very compact optical
design – the Pacific 14°-35° Zoomspot is
only 635mm / 24” long. Easy to rig and handle, requiring
less space in the theatre.
- TWO PATTERN / EFFECTS MOUNTING SLOTS. A

The
Denise-Pelletier Theatre
adds a touch of class to
Montreal's Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district.
This former deluxe 1929 movie house was renovated
in 1977 and features an Italian-style stage
and sumptuous decor.
A recent upgrade to the Theatre’s Front
of House lighting was made after extensive
on-site comparisons and tests. The theatre's
lighting crew chose Selecon Pacifics due
to their superior light output and beam quality.
A further favourable point of selection was
the very low light scatter from the front
of the lens tube, an important consideration
given the light coloured ceiling panels of
the 877+ seat auditorium.
Some forty Pacific 14-35 zoomspots and eight
Pacific 12-28 zoomspots were supplied to
the theatre by Selecon's Quebec distributor – APL.
